LEE KELLEY

MS, LPC Associate
Supervised by Elizabeth Hartwig, PhD, LMFT-S, LPC-S, RPT-S

Lee Kelley is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, National Certified Counselor, and is also working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019 and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2011. She has over four years of experience as an investigator with Child Protective Services, which motivated her to pursue a degree in mental health counseling.

Lee has worked in a variety of settings providing counseling to a diverse group of clients. Lee is particularly well-suited to support children, adolescents, adults, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. She has experience working with issues related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, parenting, divorce, and mental illness, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Lee’s personal theoretical framework is solution-focused therapy, which emphasizes a future-oriented, goal-directed approach. This approach encourages clients to construct solutions rather than focusing on existing problems. Lee uses a variety of interventions including mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and strength-based strategies. Lee supports and empowers people to achieve self-awareness and reach their therapeutic goals.

Lee is married, has one child and the sweetest dog. In her downtime, Lee loves traveling, listening to music, watching horror movies, and dining at vegan restaurants.
